Desroches Island Resort almost defies imagination with its magnificent coconut grove, its unique flora and fauna, immaculate beaches, its crystal-clear lagoon, its unrivalled hospitality and its tasty cuisine. It is only between 30-minute and 45-minute flight from Mahé, the capital island.
This paradise island is surrounded by 14 km of white, sandy beaches and has some of the most beautiful underwater dive sites in the Seychelles and some of the best deep sea fishing.

Suites :
The large four-poster bed creates an immediate impression, with its surrounding drapes and an overall feeling of luxury, refinement and spaciousness.
The rooms are lit by lamps made out of coconut shells. The décor uses subtle pastel shades, and the cane armchairs and linen fabrics add to the natural feel about the place. Coconut mats add a further tropical touch and the solid wood flooring creates a warm, homely atmosphere.
The atmosphere is continued into the bright and spacious bathrooms, with wooden frames to the mirrors and wardrobes made from Madagascan rabane, palm tree raffia. Everywhere, there is a feeling of openness, with a view of the coconut trees from the bath itself. There is also an outdoor shower.
The terrace is comfortably furnished with wicker chairs, deckchairs and a teakwood table. It looks out over the transparent lagoon.

Swimming Pool :
The hotel's pool faces the sea. The adult pool is clearly separated by a wooden bridge from the children's splash pool area.
Water Sports :
Desroches offers exceptional sites for both diving and deep-sea fishing. Windsurfing, pedal boats, kayaks and snorkelling are available free-of-charge. A fee is charged for diving (PADI) and deep-sea fishing.
Land-based Activities :
Beach volley, table tennis, bocci ball, floodlit tennis courts and bikes are available free-of-charge.
A fee is charged for billiards.
SPA :
A spa on a remote tropical island, an oasis within an oasis, and the perfect place to attain that state of total relaxation and bliss. The current 'Coconut Spa' provides cosmetic and facial treatments, body treatments and massages.
Diving :
This island paradise has some of some of the best deep-sea fishing in The Seychelles, but it is underwater dive sites that are so exceptional.
None of the dive sites is further than 20 minutes away from the diving centre (PADI 5-star). The dive boat always follows the divers and stays close by at all times.
There are too many sites to mention them all, but they include ones suitable for beginners to more challenging ones for experienced and advanced divers.

On wedding days, the resort offers a wedding cake, a special marriage menu as well as, of course, a bottle of bubbly. The morning after, there is a special breakfast on your own terrace.
To make their holiday even more romantic, honeymooners and wedding couples can opt for a whole range of extras, ranging from candlelit dinners on the beach, French champagne, photos and DVDs.
To feel really wonderful add a session in the spa.
Perhaps the most romantic of all is an evening boat trip, with canapés and champagne, to watch the sun setting over the distant horizon.

Le Veloutier :
In front of the swimming poll, the Creole style restaurant has a stunning view on the pool and the sea, open for breakfast , lunch and dinner. Depending on the evening, guests will enjoy a variety of table d'hôte, cooking show or seafood festival. The cuisine varies between Creole, French and cosmopolitan types.
In the kiosks with thatch roof, the guests can enjoy a "feed in the sand" meal for breakfast buffet, lunch buffet or for intimate candlelit dinner or lobster evening.
Bar l'Amirante :
Overlooking the swimming pool and the sea in a coconut trees environment, the bar provides the perfect end to the days as you sip cocktails while watching the stunning sunset (open from 10a.m.)
